Assam: Congress Youth Leader From Tinsukia Joins Insurgent Group

Guwahati: Assam Congress youth leader from Tinsukia, Janardan Gogoi, has joined an insurgent group functioning in Assam and its adjoining areas.

Janardan who is a resident of Sadiya, Uday Nagar, took to Facebook and announced the same along with reasons for his actions.

In a Facebook post addressed to his wife, Janardan explained all his worries and concern regarding his decision to join insurgent groups.

In his post, he accused several political parties of working together to eradicate Assam's identity.

''Today our people have become helpless in their own motherland. I can't wait to watch the race get destroyed slowly before my eyes. I could not hold my hands even after seeing the pain of my own people who have been victims of cheating and exploitation for years,'' he said in his post.

Assuming people from Assam are helpless, Janardan said, '' I couldn't wait to see our own people being destroyed since they are helpless in their own state. I couldn't keep my hands still after observing the misery of my own people, who have been victims of lies and manipulation for years.''

He further asserted that he is obliged to take this decision for the nation and the race.

''Be brave, be confident, one day or the other we will win our fight and breathe freely under the flag of the rising sun. I will keep everyone in mind till I live,'' he added.
